The Dryer High-Limit Thermostat and Inlet Thermistor shuts off the heating element or burner when the dryer overheats (L295-80F). The only difference between the high limit thermostat and the operating thermostat is their opening and closing temperatures. If your dryer wonât heat, this part might be defective and should be replaced. Thermistor should read around 50 to 60Kohms at room temperature. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dryer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Helpful Tip: This a replacement part may look different than the original thermostat in your appliance, but will still install and operate the same.
