The Washer Door Strike attaches to the latch assembly and helps communicate to the appliance that the door is closed and can begin operation. If your washerâs door doesnât close properly, or if the mounting tabs of the part are visibly broken, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. Installing the new door strike will require basic hand tools, minor disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
